Field trips bring lesson plans to life! Real life experiences are essential to learning and developing, and therefore are at at the heart of our learning experiences. Our field trips often involve exploring local community establishments in connection with children’s interest and the areas of study.

 

Field trips are not only about the location though, the journey of getting there is a large part the fun and learning. Children, teachers, and parent chaperones hop on the Metra, City Bus, or use their own two legs for transportation. These are wonderful opportunities to practice safety and community awareness.  Along the way they are observing, asking questions, and learning about the community they live in.
