PART-TIME PROGRAMS TEACHING TEAM
AUTUMN NORMAN - TEACHER (DIVING DUCKLINGS / MIGRATING MONARCHS)
Hi, I am the Diving Ducklings teacher. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A in Psychology, and that experience gave me a deeper understanding of how young children develop, think, and process through their experiences. That led me to obtain a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University. As one of the founding teachers at Little Inspirations, I have always enjoyed watching children develop an understanding of their world through interacting with it on a daily basis. I have never thought of the classroom as just being indoors, so am very excited for the summer and am looking forward to watching children interact with their world through fun community outings, field trips, and outdoor adventures. In my spare time, I enjoy sketching, coloring, and watching TV, particularly Netflix.
LISA FRANCIS - TEACHER (ROCKIN' ROBINS DIRECTOR / TEACHER)
Hello everyone. My name is Lisa Francis and I have a Bachelor’s in Child Development and I am excited to say that I have two classes to go before completing my Master’s in Early child Development. I have over 10 years of experience with child care. I started my journey as a teacher’s assistant. This really taught me how to construct a classroom and create a fun learning environment. I have taught a variety of age groups which has allowed me to gain a sufficient amount of knowledge. My twin daughters really inspired me to become an educator. They have helped me understand the development of children. My personal vision as a teacher is to help students learn and develop but have fun while doing so. It is so important for students to enjoy what they are learning in the classroom. To help me de-stress, I love to read and write. This helps me bring a more positive mood within the classroom. I am thrilled to be an educator at Little Inspirations. I look forward to continuing to bring my positive and nurturing spirit to the team.
